Becoz " Woman's best asset is also man's imagination " .....hence..... " Self-Mastery is the most difficult to attain ".......... which is why even the strongest and greatest of Samsons too fell as her prey and eventually defeated by her conspirator.....sigh 4.

I agree with Ursula that knowing our self is knowing that we are human being having physical experience here on Earth and not the other way around as Dr. Wayne Dyer has said. Knowing that we are Spirit means knowing that we have unlimited power as the spirit is not limited only to his body. Knowing our Self is knowing who we really are -as sons and daughters of God-who has the power.

He who wants to lead, manage and control others,

must first be a Master of Himself

Having just finished the new book of Tolle I think that Socrates might actually have meant that we have to realize that we are not just our ego, our brains, but the real us is much deeper, it is our spirit. It is the part that does not think, does not judge, does not fear, expect, or want anything. It is that which is eternal, and has, on the contrary, nothing to do with our habits, work, likes or dislikes, and other thinks that are apparent on the surface.

Thanks for linking to my post!

Conscious thought directed at knowing yourself and your habits is one of the most powerful ways we can improve our lives. Take note at what Socrates said, and start living a happier and healthier life!
