    YEAH! Stop Smoking!

  2. Kate Says:

Very funny..a talk on "stopping aging" by a guy who looks to be 90 yrs old (or at least prematurely aged) due to that awful beard, ponytail and bags under his eyes! He is no doubt intelligent but I cannot watch him--his appearance is distracting. Why do some scientist believe they have to look like aging hippies to be taken seriously?

  3. sami Says:

I thought the gentleman did a fantastic job> whatever he wants to look like is his choice> I thank God that he looks on the inside and not on the inside> Good presentation>.>>

  4. Cristiane from Brazil Says:

as kATE, I really can not watch him or get interested in whatever he has to say about "stopping aging"...to be honest my first reaction was a big smile; it is very funny a beardy bagged eyes guy teach anything about it but who am I to judge? (maybe this is the hidden secret: The smile he provokes:) )

  5. Sorin P. Says:

Fascinating. I personally don't really care what the guy looks like, what is important is what comes out of his mouth. Having said that I think he has some brilliant ideas and understands the mechanism of aging very well. I wish him the best of luck, the world needs more people like him, not more dictators that cause war.

  6. Bryon Says:

People with new radical ideas always get mocked and laughed at, only to prove the general public wrong. Our world is full of inventions and innovations that have time and time again proven people wrong that said it would be impossible to achieve. I'm thankful for people like Aubry de Grey who don't listen to what people say and strive to reach their goal. We would still be living in caves if it weren't for people like him. I believe it takes a small mind to mock someone who is passionate about what they do, especially since the small minds who do the mocking don't even come close to having the knowledge and understanding that the person passionate about their work has accumulated from their studies. How can you tell someone something isn't true if you haven't put the amount of time and study into it as they have? I'm sure Aubry has gained certain knowledge and insights from his study that would rationally make him believe that he can accomplish this goal or else he wouldn't continue trying to achieve it. So laugh on and make fun if you want, it really shows how ignorant you are to make fun of something that you have absolutely no knowledge of. The remark by Kate is amusing about how he has to look like an aging hippy to be taken seriously. Thanks for telling us what Aubry thinks, I'm sure that is exactly what he was trying to do, look like a hippy so people would believe him. That's why Einstien looked like he did too right Kate? Sign me up! I would like to live until at least the year 2126 and I'm 31, so that would make me 150?

I can just close my eyes and hear the same hyper banter that I got from my old college professors. I remember meeting with one of those professors after class. I couldn't summarise anything he had to say because he was all over the place just like this guy.

Aging begins with the mind - bottom line; this is more heart knowledge than head knowledge. Where is the heart? Where is the passion in this man's lecture?

  8. Tara Says:

I believe that aging begins in the mind. But I also believe in the mind-body/body-mind connection, never leaving out the spiritual aspect.

I think our lecturer is a prophet.

  9. Brady J. Sanabria Says:

I've been using my alpha level for anti-aging since I took the course back in 1983. I surround myself in light from head to toe inside out and state that I look, feel and function like a healthy vibrant 21 year old and it makes a world of a difference. Of course I meditate, eat right and work out on a daily basis. It works! A couple of years ago I attended my 25th high school reunion and was shocked at my old classmates who were 50lbs over weight and sickly. They gaged to see me weighing the same thing I did in high school and now with washboards abs that I didn't have then. With love, faith and dedication we can make a big difference in our lives and in the life of others.
    Sincerely,
    Bra'dy

  10. Lee Says:

I am so grateful that there are men like Aubrey. He obviously aligns himself to a wonderful, personal set of values which has chiselled his uniqueness, wisdom and ability to think and live outside the square... the same square that is a very effective holding yard for so many men who prefer to strut around the yard, preening and flexing, locking horns and bellowing at each other when one gets more grass or cow.

Go the beard, Aubrey! I would be proud to sit at your table! I reckon you're a bit of honey actually! All the best, Lee.

  11. Carl Rhoades Says:

Hey, at least the guy uses an Apple powerbook how bad can he be? I listened to the whole thing, don't disagree with anything but came away with nothing to help me personally right now. So for the moment I'll go with Brady's emersion in light technique and wait for more answers.

  12. Edward Says:

"It is rational to put ghastly but inevitable things out of our minds even if we have to be indescribably irrational to do so"?.. I'm not sure about some of these arguments he rushes through.. Doesn't that depend how irrational it is?.. Before people understood conception one superstition to stop pregnancy was to swallow tadpoles boiled in mercury.. I don't think that's very rational at all.. Also, how about I don't want to face something in the future- it's enevitable, but it's just far too ghastly. Hmm, why don't I just have a drug overdose then; that's rational- it will put it out of my mind.

  13. Hazel Says:

loved the talk. Watched all the way through. Thought what he said made a great deal of sense. Bring on his vision of the future as soon as possible please.

  14. Susan Says:

First, do not judge a book by its cover. The guy is a highly intelligent man of fine intellect, a visionary. His presentation is rapid to match his speed of thought. His appearance is his own choice. End of criticisms and judgements please: all blood is red and all tears are salty. Thanks.

Second, consider if your choice is to emulate who you see or to express yourself as an individual, unique part of this incredible whole.

Third, be aware that to live long in this dimension (the so-called 'material' world, in a material body, is a choice you make. You chose to come here, to be incarnated. The journey after you leave this human body is also a choice. See it for what it is.

Contact the higher Self within and ask it questions. It gives all the answers, with the wisdom of aeons, of infinity, of time immemorial. It has no 'time'. Time exists only in a world of illusion, of relativity, of dualism, of material change. Look, see. Listen, hear. Try it - it is not only fun, it is essential! ;o)

Fourth, discover, inside yourself, with assistance fom the One, your life purpose. Live it fully, with Love and see others as part of the One. Be compassionate, kind and giving. Love, essentially, your 'neighbour as yourself'. Then you may have a better idea of whether you want to stay in this body for a longer 'lifespan' than the one you are conditioned to expect.

Fifth, be the Love you wish to see in the world, instead of chasing after material things which, essentially, are illusion. Be happy, be happy, be full of joy. In the garden of your heart, plant nothing but the rose of Love. The important things in life are the traces of Love we leave behind.

Sixth, I wish you all hte blessings you wish for yourself and the world, with compassion and Love. Be happy and Loving and all things will follow.

    Seventh, Love, Love, Love... ;o)

  15. Sharon Says:

The guy talks way too fast so rather than trying to keep up with him I think I'll pass watching the last 17 minutes.

  16. Alfred Kok TL Says:

With STEM CELL revitalisation & rejuvenation, I think we can possibly lived happily to be as old as ADAM and ABRAHAM.

In Science the word IMPOSSIBLE means I'M POSSIBLE.

To the best of my little scientific knowledge
" nothing in this world is impossible to attain by the man with a willing heart "

If we can walk on the Moon in 1969, we too shall walk on Mars before 2069; unless we refused to believe that we can.

The world got no shortages of detractors and cowards, as there are no shortages of idiots and petty-man too.

As pragmatic intellectuals and man of science, we are endowed by Our Mission & Vision to make this World a happier and healthier Utopia for The Human Race & all Living Beings, too.

And because we knew that the next Ice Age may come in a few million years from today, and because we need to further our Space Ventures of Billions of Light-years to which our present puny life-span is too inadequated for, we need to find logical ways to LIVE TO A THOUSAND.....;...and so the future is history in the year 4008...........may the force be with US.

  17. Andrew Says:

Everyone experiences that which they 'Truly' believe.

I wish Aubry all the success he hopes for. And if I ever have the opportunity to assist his pursuit I will gladly do all I can.
The same goes for everyone! Anyone who truly believes they are going to die at some point, I hope they achieve all the success they desire and will gladly assist them in any way I can!!

Love and light to you all.
