Mastering basic tricks of remembering names

Friday, January 6th, 2012

Remembering names can be a tricky task. This is evidently true when the social circle of a person gets bigger by interacting with people, or there are simply too many names in common for one to remember. One of the simplest ways to remember names is to pay close attention when a name is being introduced. It will be beneficial for one to repeat the name over and over again for a few times to lock the memory firmly in the human brain. If one forgets, simply ask for the name from that person again and repeat the steps.

There are times when verbalized repeating of names is just inadequate enough to remember. Do ask for a name card from the person or write down the name on a piece of paper three times. This method is to memorize names by visualizing pictures. It must be done as soon as possible after meeting the person.

One of the fascinating methods is to remember the names of persons by drawing a connection with the person's hobby or employment. For example, John the nurse, Mary the butcher, Joan the chef etc. It will help tremendously in reinforcing memory.

Writing down names, by far, is one of the most effective methods of remembering names, especially in a social gathering. It is an extremely successful method that does not require a lot of effort from a person. All one needs is a personal diary/notebook, pen and a name card holder. Using mnemonic devices and strategies can help in boosting memory and expanding one's mind capacity in remembering additional information.

It pays to connect names with common words that can help one to form a distinctive linkage. For example, Cherie for cherry, Bill for pills, Candace for candy etc. This will significantly enhance a person's ability to remember people's names better.

Forgetting a person's name not only embarrass but will make one cringe standing next to the person and drawing a blank look on the face. Many business plans, romantic dates and even friendships foiled because of the inability to recall names. Thus, such mistakes in a face-to -face situation can set one apart. Single syllable American names, for example, Bill, Jack, Ken, can cause confusion as these names can get blended together in the brains and easily be dismissed.

In a summary, there are tricks in remembering names. In fact, mastering just one or two tricks is already proficient enough to handle most names in one's memory capacity. The problem is that most people tend to be over immersed in themselves when names are being introduced to them. Either one is too obsessed with setting a favorable first impression or simply not paying attention at that moment. When one first hear a new name, he or she will be too emotionally or visually involved in the new person, thinking that this may help in remembering the person's name better. However, this is not true. A person's mind floats away at that crucial moment will find it extremely difficult to recall the name even seconds later. Therefore, it pays to master the tricks to safeguard one's interests.

The Truth about Distance Healing

Friday, January 6th, 2012

Distance healing provides an insightful knowledge on effective healing by absence of traveling from one place to another. Also commonly known as Energy Healing, it can be accomplished without having to visit any clinics or hospitals. Praying is the fundamental element of distance healing sessions, being the simplest yet most effective method ever known.

The healing session begins with the healer sensing the energy field of the patient that is receiving the healing. The effectiveness of the healing has the same effect as if the patient is physically present with the healer in the same room. It sounds unbelievable and too amazing to be true, but there are concrete facts to support the evidences. From a scientific point of view, remote healing sessions are conducted by means of transferring energy sources from the healer to the patient.

This can be further illustrated by a satellite, which represents the healer as the main source of sensory station. Once it senses the weakness energy field of the patient, it transfers strong magnetic waves across the field to strengthen the body constitution. The waves are similar to radio waves which travels at great speed and time. The Holographic Universe by Talbot describes this incredible phenomenon of remote healing. This concept can be very abstract and difficult to understand unless one has actually undergone the healing process and experiences the unified feeling of healing through space. However, it can be simplified as telepathy healing to a certain extent as this type of treatment needs no barrier and distance.

An energy healer in this sense can actually sense the energy level of the client and decide on various diagnosis treatments. If the energy level is determined to be weak, energy will be transferred from the healer to the client. There are cases that the clients may have existing illnesses, thus, the healer will have to perform direct healing treatments on the affected area in the body. The healer will first identify the affected organ or part and perform healing processes. It is all about sensing and aiming at the correct spot to start the healing treatment.

Many practitioners of remote healing believe in balancing the energy fields in one's mind, body and soul. Riki or healing by touch is alternatives that can be offered to one who is interested to try remote healing. These sessions also can be done at a distance without the client having to travel extensively to the practitioner's clinic. Since the ancient times, people have turned to remote healing as an alternative source of hope, especially when medical science no longer has the cure for them.

In the light of modern science, distant healing revives ancient understanding of remote healing, thus, methods of healing are rediscovered and formulated over time. Healers who are gifted with ultra-sensitive sensory are given opportunity to utilize their talents in performing sessions for the patients to give a new ray of light in modern science. Distant healing is, therefore, also a new, holistic approach of cure.

Negative energy and its impact

Friday, January 6th, 2012

Negative energy makes one’s day depressing and stressed up. This is a non-arguable fact. It is impossible to remove negative sources from one's life because this is part of human life experiences. Life has its ups and downs, thus; one cannot expect things to run smoothly without any barriers in life. However, if the presence of negative energy is disturbing enough to cause unnecessary stress and grief in one’s everyday life, then appropriate measures have to be taken to curb the problem.

Since the ancient times, Man has tried many different ways of removing negative forces that are causing harm and distress through a range of methods. It can be traditional ways of performing different rituals or by means of chanting or praying.

As time passes, the advancement of modern technology allows Man to adopt methods that are more scientifically proven to remove negative forces. This will include methods such as, meditation, chanting spells, healing sessions, burning incense and hypnosis. However, there are simply times that the forces get some incredibly strong that nothing can work. This may require new interventions to prevent the negative forces from spewing forth. Most importantly, one needs to keep a clear state of mind in order to rationalize and maintain one’s sanity.

One of the most popular methods of removing negative energies is by means of performing a cleansing ritual for oneself. One has to prepare the necessary items, such as, precious stones and incense blends to increase the chances of success of the ritual. After which, one has to find a quiet spot to sit down and meditate. Just imagine oneself as an empty vessel that is filled with dirty air and needs to be cleaned up. One has to chant and remind oneself that the dirty air is being filtered out. Envision that the body is replaced by the clean air, and one feels purified and cleanse from the top of the head to tip of the toe. The negative energies had left the body and disappear in the air, which signifies that one’s problems have also been resolved for good. One should trust and use his or her senses to feel for the positive, clean air which is there to stay indefinitely in the body. As for the last stage the person may want to stay in the exact spot for a while longer. This is because, at this time, the mind will trouble, stress free and able to think of solutions with a clear picture. Most people will be filled with happiness with a sense of peace and serenity. The sense of grief will be replaced by clearer, calmer thoughts, and one will find oneself stronger, and calmer to brave through the barriers and unhappiness in one’s life. Removing negative energies, thus, is beneficial both to the human mind and body. While there may be several methods widely available in the market or online resources, one has to find the method that suits the person most in order to succeed.

How to Focus on studying

Friday, January 6th, 2012

All of us has limited time concentration span. Focusing on studying can be a tedious chore, especially if one does not like the subject nature of the task. However, there are simply times that we have to keep things going and finish up the work given to us. Thus, it pays to seek alternatives to help one concentrate better. Although it remains a fact that there are readily available methods that are viable, not all will suit everyone’s needs. Human beings are all distinctive individuals. One method that can fit an individual perfectly may not be suitable for another person. The fantastic news is concentration is somewhat comparable to mastering the skills of learning to ride a bicycle.

Once a person has perfected the skills, chances are it will be highly unlikely to be forgotten. The biggest barrier is to convince a person to acknowledge and identify the problem early. It can be a tedious task to make a person believe that focusing skills can be acquired. Stereotyping proved to be the largest barrier that hinders one from curbing the problem. Humans tend to believe that it is tough to focus but little do they realize the full potential of the human brain. Many people know that only a certain percentage out of the total capacities of the human mind is utilized in one’s entire lifetime. The human brain has ability to concentrate on doing a task. However, it will be difficult if one’s mind tells the body that it does not like the task. Therefore, one has to like the subject in order to focus on studying. This is the fundamental stage before other alternatives can be discussed and resolved.

Hence, many will agree that it is much easier to focus on something that one prefers or enjoys doing, such as, favorite hobbies, reading comics, watching TV etc. On the other hand, one will, find it a torture to concentrate on studying for exams, working on school projects and studying a company’s financial report. This is the reality of life that one has to recognize and identify it as a part of everyday lives.

Other common barriers includes, work stress, lifestyle changes and prioritizing on any other things than studying. It will be difficult to focus if one does not think its urgent enough to study for it. Likewise, stress from work or personal life can have a significant impact on focusing. One will be too occupied with other issues rather concentrate on what is written in the books. However, barriers can be also due to leisure purposes, for example, preoccupied on the phone or watching television. These are to sum up on the fact that most popular and probably only way in focusing better in studying is to change the stereotyping of a person. Once this is achieved, it will be much easier to adopt other methods to keep up the momentum in the long run. There will also be lesser chances of failing to concentrate.

Saturday, December 31st, 2011

Stress is a necessary element in life. Without stress is almost equivalent to losing motivation and drive. However, excessive stress can cause damaging effects to the human body. The human body reacts to an overwhelming level of stress by putting up a ' FIGHT or FLIGHT' response in order to counterbalance the chemical imbalances in our body. This heightened state of excessive stress can be damaging thus relaxation a technique are here to counterbalance the harmful effects of stress and brings the level down to a safe state of equilibrium.

Many people have the misconception that sitting on the sofa watch TV or snacking during breaks provides relief in stress. This is not true. Relaxation techniques are necessary in providing maximum stress management. However not all techniques are suitable for everyone. Some may have great effects on one particular method while others may find the other method not useful at all. Reason being we are all different, so does our body reacts to different healing techniques of stress management. One alternative recommended by experts is to combine or alternate different techniques to keep a person motivated. In fact, this is the only ways that enabling one to find out which methods work the best for you.

One of the most popular methods is the deep breathing technique. This technique requires deep breaths from the abdomen instead of taking shallow, quick breaths. The rationale is to induce more oxygen into the lungs and chest. The more oxygen the body gets, the calmer the person will be. Breathe out from the mouth and nose slowly and try to inhale maximum air so that that is an obvious movement of rises and falls in your lower abdomen. Do a slow count. Maintain an upright sitting position throughout. You can choose to lie on the floor if it's too difficult to breathe through the abdomen.

Practicing mindfulness cultivation by means of meditation can help in relaxation as well. It is typically used in relieving stress by focusing one's attention from unpleasant problems to present issues by diverting it to a single repetitive action, for example, repeated breathing, speaking and some simple actions in order to release inner thoughts and negative sensations. It is crucial to maintain a good posture and quite position that is free from disturbances. Get yourself into a comfortable position so that you won't find yourself fidgeting around and getting more frustrated. Note for a point of focus, which can be just a feeling or by pure imagination. It can be in the form of verbalized words or mere objects so long to keep your attention focused onto the focal point and not getting distracted during the meditation. One however may choose to keep eyes open or shut during the session. It is important to keep an non critical and observant attitude during meditation. Do not be distracted by external worries or too self focused (worry about own progression), it can make your efforts go wasted. However, it is essential to know that if these thoughts are disturbing and persistent, it will be wise not to fight them back. Simply just divert your attention back to the focus point.

The wonders of Remote Healing

Saturday, December 31st, 2011

Remote healing is no longer something new in our lives. Being inquisitive beings, human yearn venturing from the known to the unknown. Many years ago this method of healing in already in existence where many people seek help from healers even if they live on the other corner of the earth. Many are desperate maybe because they were suffering from an incurable diseases and are dying. Thus distant healing became their last resort. While others simply seek alternative treatment for aliments that are tough to cure. Whatever the reasons maybe, distant healing works in one simple principle. It cures by connection between the two parties together.

The healing process can be explained by using powerful techniques that controls the complexities of the human brain. The 2 techniques are Silva ultra mind and mind scape. These 2 methods allow the healer to connect with the brain cells and 'penetrate into the client's brain cells and identifying the problem areas. However this is not considered as reading somebody's mind, if that's what you are thinking. Healers can only identify the sickness and heal, but not anything else more.

The real healing process begins when the healer uses powerful techniques to unleash the intuitive abilities of the human mind and opens up the potential latent of the brain. While it’s a fact that humans only use a small fraction of their brains in their lifetime, this technique cleverly opens up and makes way for endless possibilities for the human mind. When this stage is accomplished, the brain will function at a distinct number of cycles. One of the cycles is called the alpha state, which is the ideal stage that the healer is trying to attain as this is the only cycle that allows the brain to function at its optimal best, meaning that healing process will be most efficient and effective during this stage.

There are many benefits associated with distant healing sessions. People who stay in remote areas are able to seek help and receive treatments from healers at the comfort of their homes. This advantage is evidently true for young children and people who are seriously ill. Examples of aliments cured are insomnia, reversing side effects of stroke, arthritis and even migraine. At the end of a session, a report will be churned out, known as the 'body talk' report (the healer penetrates into your brain cells and let your body tells them where the disease is). Like any other medical report, primary and secondary diagnosis will be stated together with the session details, for example, the objective and main focus of the session is to balance the liver and releasing toxic, relaxing the muscles etc, where the body is capable of responding to the healer's 'call' by a series of conducting an 'auto run' and preventing the sickness from relapsing. In short, the body does the self healing after the session. This seems incredible but it’s cleverly supported by scientific evidences that the healing process works and lightened many hopes in people around the world.

Saturday, December 31st, 2011

Learning how to remember names shows respect and appreciation to the person. However we tend to forget certain names easily but surely not intentionally due to factors like stress, overwhelming information, heavy work load, fatigue and so on. The list just continues. Forgetting a person’s name not only creates a negative impression that person has on you but also makes you embarrassed in a tight spot. Here's some measures on how to remember names effectively.

All you need to do is to look at the person silently and repeat the name to yourself several times to reaffirm the name in your memory. It's as simple as that. Another effective way is to introduce someone else first before the nameless person. For example: “Have you met my business partner Jerry?” You asked the nameless person. “No, I haven't." He replied, and he introduces himself to Jerry: “Hi my name is Benedict, nice to meet you." Bingo! Now you know his name without letting him know you actually forgot it. Introducing someone else to another person you just met not only will help you remember the names better but also benefits you in building up close networks with your friends and let you take charge of the situation.

Attitude plays an important role in helping a person remembering names. One has to change his or her mindset that he is no longer bad with names. How to remove negative energy

It is crucial to remove negative energy as an essential part of our everyday lives in order to maintain our state of mind and to stay happy. However, negative energy is a negative aura that surrounds us, creating grief, depression and numerous setbacks for us if we don't act fast to ward it off from our bodies. Close your eyes and start to remove all the negative thoughts one by one slowly off your mind. For example, stress from work, quarrels, grief from death of loved ones etc. Imagine yourself taking a piece of eraser and start erasing every word off the paper. This should be the correct way. When you feel that your mind has been emptied, face the sea salt into a bowl and place it right in the center on the spot where you are sitting. This is evidently true for city dwellers considering the tremendous amount of stress and problems they face everyday at work, home or anywhere. The presences of negative energy make us aware of the importance of positive energy and how to welcome them into our body, mind and soul.

Self taught methods on how to concentrate on studying

Saturday, December 31st, 2011

Concentrating on studying is one of the most difficult tasks ever, especially if you hate what you are studying. I suppose many will agree with me on this statement. The art of concentration takes skills and tactics to master. Though it's tough, it's not impossible. No matter whether you are studying for exams or learning how to swim, the most important element in concentrating to focus on what you are doing and learn the various ways of saying 'NO' to distractions.

It's difficult to convince a non productive person that he/she has the ability to concentrate, but the truth is, human are blessed naturally with this instinct to do so, believe it or not. It all depends on oneself whether you want to make full use of this capability or choose to ignore this 'gift from god' and start to make excuses for yourself. Think of the occasions where one happily indulge yourself in something you love doing for hours and hours till you even forget the time. For example, playing your favorite games, chatting with your friends, shopping, a nice day at the beach etc. Isn't this considered as concentrating? This is total concentration. Thus humans tend to display concentration for what they loved doing and find it difficult when they start to find the tasks tedious. This is human nature.

Here are some common barriers that keep us away from concentrating in our tasks. Our worries, stresses from our daily lives create mental strain in our minds, preventing us to concentrate. While one will try very hard to take things off their mind and focus, human mind will tend to priorities 'worries' at the top of the list, leaving the job that needs to be done at the bottom until the problem is resolved. This is by far one of the toughest barriers ever and is also quite difficult to get rid of unless you belong to the sort of person that can draw a very clear line between emotions and serious work. Sadly to say, only minority have this ability as it is only pure human nature that we are all driven by our emotions.

Other contributing factors are relatively much easier to solve. Our minds tend to drift off while trying very hard to concentrate. Something much interesting out there simply takes our eyes and minds away, for example, favorite movies, food, noise, music etc. The list continues. Your mind drifted from one thing to another and before you realize, much of the precious time has been wasted away. Sometimes it could be the material or the tasks you are doing is simply of no interest to you or just too boring or too difficult understand. The rule of the thumb is to cultivate best practices and do everything that is within your limits to keep tasks under your control. Do not let distractions overpower your mind. One may wish to a keep a strict diary or timetable and stick closely to it. Give rewards to pamper yourself, for example, your favorite snack or 1 hour for games or favorite TV shows after you have finished your tasks within stimulated time. The issue of how to concentrating on studying is not as difficult as it seems to be after all.
