At 58 years old and having achieved 'mountains' more than the average person throughout my life I realised that certain aspects of our lives there comes an opening which gives you the opportunity to achieve something. It could be an advertisement on television or in a magazine or something that someone else is doing that leads you to think "I would like a piece of this cake!" and so you set about achieving it. In my case a Computer Degree, and Top Mountaineering and Navigation qualification and these are nothing compared to what I have achieved throughout my life.
Now,late on in my life while on top of a mountain
I sat back and thought "Hold on a minute!" "I have done countless things throughout my life world wide, and the cost financialy to me to achieve these wonderfull things have run into endless (thousands) all paid for by working a steady 9 to 5 job and borrowing so much money that the debt will never be paid until I am too old to repay it!". After that comes the 'Crunch' of not being able to keep up with the payments. And then, nearing retirement there comes the threat of becoming homeless as well as being 'Broke'.
It has becomes a serious 'reality' that the only 'Payback' has been through passing these skills on through the work that I have done for others as part of my normal daily routine working with people.
I have read many books on "How to become rich"
"How to succeed in business" "How to become more Powerfull" Etc. But the problem as I see it points to; Where do you borrow/make many more 'thousands' in order to finance the next venture? in my case after 35 years in the mountains, the desire to pass on that knowledge physically and menatally through the setting up of a Business / school system' teaching mountaineering and Geology, Nature subjects, survival and Team work which I have been doing for 23 years, with the wish now to teach around this country and abroad, to other deprived children and troubled teenagers who have been abandoned by society or handicapped and even ordinary adults, but every thing comes down to "How to obtain the cash in order to fulfill your dream" and "How to pay it all back and survive!"
